Delta

  Map of Egypt   >>>   Delta

This lush, vibrantly green portion of the country has remained its breadbasket for thousands of years. The Delta is the wide, awe-inspiring mouth of the Nile River as it flows into the Mediterranean Sea. Theoretically, the Delta featured once as many ancient temples as Upper Egypt, but over time the wet environment and the constant plowing of the area eroded and destroyed most remnants of its glorious historical past. Nonetheless, this region remains one of Egypt’s prettiest, with its endless farms and harvesting plots, outlined by barrages and thousands of mineral-rich waterways. Our artisans’ palm tree-derived items allow us to borrow some of that lush green landscape and take it home with us.
